How to Use

• Hold the Hook Tyer in your left hand with the metal clamp facing upwards.

• Place the hook, point upwards, into the tyer and press down the clamp to lock it.

• Pass your line around the clamp, keeping it tight at all times.

• Rotate the tyer away from you, laying the line beneath the spade of the hook.

• After one rotation, adjust the line angle to start whipping down the hook shank.

• Complete 10–14 turns, then wrap the loose end around the brass peg on the tyer’s nose.

• Lubricate the line with a little saliva, depress the clamp, and gently pull the hook length to tighten.

• Unlock the clamp and pull again until the hook and line are free.

• Trim the loose ends to finish.
