Description

The Drennan Margin Carp 6″ hooklengths feature extremely strong barbless hooks designed specifically for tackling big carp in margin swims. Built for demanding situations, these rigs are ideal when fishing close to the bank on heavy-duty pole gear where maximum strength and reliability are essential.

The hooks feature a long needle point that is slightly curved with the very tip turned in, helping to provide a secure hook hold and improve landing rates when targeting large carp. This design ensures strong penetration while maintaining excellent hooking efficiency.

Each hooklength is supplied on the convenient 6” (15cm) Hook Plate System. Eight individual hooks to nylon are stored flat under slight tension to prevent kinks in the monofilament, ensuring they remain perfectly straight and ready to fish. Precise whipping knots and consistent loops mean these rigs can be used straight from the plate with confidence.

The plates can be used as supplied or stored in compatible storage systems from Drennan such as the Hook Book or Hook Box, making it easy to keep rigs organised and protected.

How To Use

• Remove a hooklength carefully from the 6” hook plate

• Attach the loop to your pole rig or heavy feeder setup

• Bait the hook with suitable margin baits such as pellets, corn, meat, or worms

• Ship the rig carefully into the margin swim

• Strike firmly when a bite is indicated on the float
