The liquid-filled construction plays a key role in the elastic’s performance. A controlled silicone fill runs through the hollow core, helping to keep the elastic supple, consistent and smoothly weighted through the top kit. As a result, the elastic stretches progressively when a fish makes its initial run.

This progressive action helps absorb the lunges of hard-fighting silverfish, F1s and lively smaller carp. Furthermore, it reduces unwanted kick back at the hook before settling into a controlled and even pull as the fish comes towards the net.

The liquid core also helps maintain consistent performance when the elastic comes under greater pressure. An unfilled hollow can flatten at extreme pressure and become less smooth as it retracts.
