Description
The Korda Line Saver Bead is a specialist rig component designed specifically for anglers using naked chod rigs. Its main purpose is to protect your mainline during the fight, reducing wear and potential damage caused by the rig’s movement under pressure.
Constructed from tungsten-impregnated rubber, the bead is designed to sit flush on the lakebed, helping to maintain a neat and discreet presentation. It is positioned closest to the lead in a naked chod setup, where it plays a vital role in safeguarding the line during both casting and playing fish.
The tapered design allows the hooklink swivel to sit securely against the bead when casting, while still enabling it to slide freely up the line towards the upper bead during flight. Once a fish is hooked, the swivel returns to the thicker section of the bead, where the tapered shape helps shield the mainline from abrasion caused by direct contact with the swivel.
For ease of use, each bead is supplied on a wire loop attached to a plastic toggle, making it quick and simple to thread onto your mainline. This user-friendly design ensures efficient setup even in challenging conditions.
