Description
The Shimano Baitrunner ST-RB is an excellent entry-level reel that delivers the legendary Baitrunner freespool system at remarkable value. Designed with ease of use in mind, it is perfect for beginners, young anglers, or anyone looking for a reliable carp and specimen fishing reel without a premium price tag.
The simple rear Baitrunner mechanism allows the spool to run freely when a fish takes the bait and automatically disengages with a turn of the handle. This provides smooth, trouble-free operation and helps prevent accidents when fishing with open bail or tight lines. Backed by more than 30 years of Shimano Baitrunner development, the ST-RB offers proven reliability and performance.
Despite its affordable price point, the reel features understated modern styling along with practical components including a balanced double handle, aluminium AR-C spool and Varispeed line lay for improved casting and line management. The 6000 size is ideal for specimen fishing for carp, barbel, tench and predator species such as pike and zander, while the larger 10000 size offers extra power and capacity for targeting bigger fish on both small and large waters.
